The University of Virginia Foundation is seeking a Financial Accountant. This position will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of payables and receivables, and assisting in the preparation of accounting statements and financial reports for the UVA Foundation and for the Historic Renovation Corporation (HRC).
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a business related field and/or in lieu of a degree, four years of work experience with at least two-three years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
