Pat McCann

Patrick McCann is Chief Financial Officer at the University of Virginia Foundation, and as such, is ultimately responsible for all financial aspects of the organization and its subsidiaries. Mr. McCann's career spans over 25 years of senior financial leadership experience. He formerly served as CFO for the Florida Division of Bank of America, and as Director of Finance and Corporate Controller for its predecessor, Barnett Banks, Inc. Prior to working in the financial services industry, he was employed by the national public accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche, where he served clients in the real estate and financial services industries.

Mr. McCann received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and was a Certified Public Acountant in the State of Florida.

Mr. McCann is currently an independent director and audit committee member of Union Bankshares Corporation, one of the largest community banking organizations in the Commonwealth. He has also held several leadership positions, including Chairman of the American Bankers Association Accounting Committee, Treasurer of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Youth Football League, and as an independent director for the Charlottesville Venture Group.

Pat and his wife of 29 years, Jill, have three sons. Their eldest son is a 2009 graduate of the UVA Law School, another son received his undergraduate degree from UVA in 2008 and their youngest son attends the University of Alabama.
