U.S. Senate Retreat - February 2011
Bringing together policy-shapers and national leaders -
For two days in February 2011, 44 U.S. Democratic Senators met at Morven for a policy retreat focused on the economy, deficit reduction, and health care reform.


Architecture School Dean's Forum - October 1, 2011 Faculty, students, and alumni of the School of Architecture came together for a forum on innovative design and research collaboration. The evening featured a panel discussion in one of Morven's award-winning barns, tours of the formal gardens and grounds, and a dinner with donors in the Meeting Barn.


AARP National Leadership Board - October 12-14 For three days in October 2011, the President of the AARP Foundation brought together her leadership team for an intensive strategic planning retreat in the Meeting Barn and Main House.



Leadership in Academic Matters - January 3, 2012
Morven kicked off 2012 with a new group of faculty participating in the Leadership in Academic Matters program. The program works to develop and inspire faculty who have demonstrated leadership potential. UVa Provost John Simon introduced the night's speakers, President Sullivan and Michael Suarez, Director of the Rare Book School.


Provost's Retreat - January 17, 2012
The Stone House at Morven provided the perfect working space for a productive day with the University's Deans, brought together by Provost John Simon. Following the retreat, the Dean's were joined by President Sullivan and enjoyed a seated dinner in the Meeting Barn with spouses.
